Nepal Homestay Villages – Bhadaure Tamagi Village

Bhadaure Tamagi lies to the south of Dhikur Pokhari, it is a town and Village Development Committee in the Kaski District, in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. It is about 12 kilometers away from Phewa Lake (near Pokhara).

The area is home to one of the largest areas of Panchase Forest, which has great biological, cultural, and religious diversity in addition to natural beauty.

Attractions and activities

Bhadaure Tamagi offers visitors a peaceful escape with roads and trails for hiking that wind through agricultural land and dense forest.

There are also beautiful views of the sacred mountain Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) in the Annapurna Range, which towers beyond Bhadaure Tamagi’s lush rolling green hills. Visitors may choose to watch the sunrise or sunset from one of the viewpoints in the village.

The Panchase Forest is an important ecological zone between the Himalaya range and the lowlands. If you keep your eye out you may see a beautiful Spangle Butterfly, which is native to the area. There are also waterfalls, ponds, organic vegetable farms for visitors to explore.

Local life

Most people’s main occupation in the Bhadaure Tamagi is agriculture and some people have a business. Like many regions in rural Nepal, people also leave their families to seek work in other countries.

The main festivals throughout the year include Dashain, Tihar, Teej, Janai Purnima, and Buddha Jayanti. Exact dates for these festivals change year to year.

How to get there

A taxi may be the most convenient and easiest way for visitors to arrange transportation via the Panchase Marga Road, which goes north of Phewa Lake near Pokhara.
