The village of Dhikur Pokhari lies at around 1,280m elevation, about 16 kilometres from the major tourist city of Pokhara. Dhikur Pokhari is part of the Kaski District in the Gandaki Zone of Nepal. To the south lies Kaskikot Village Development Committee (VDC) and to the east lies Ghandruk VDC.

Attractions and activities
Dhikur Pokhari is a lush, richly vegetated area offering some of the most stunning views of the sacred mountain Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) in the Annapurna Range.

The major attractions in this village are walking (trekking) and paragliding. The surroundings are very peaceful making it an ideal escape for travellers. Naudanda is also a nearby beautiful village that can be easily visited from Dhikur Pokhari. Observing the different character of the local villages can be an interesting activity for visitors.

For visitors wishing to explore toward the mountains, the Machhapuchhre Tourist Road, north of the village off the Pokhara-Banlung Highway is a gateway to the Annapurna Conservation Area.

The main occupation in the village is agriculture and there are 3 primary schools and one secondary school in the village. Dhikur Pokhari is a diverse ethnic and cultural area with people from many different castes residing in the village.

How to get there
The main travel mode is via bus, however a taxi may be the most convenient and easiest way for visitors to arrange transportation.
